1. Classical Ballet

3. Jazz

The name of the dance comes from a rhythm created in the United States at the beginning of the 20th century, it is a mixture of European classical music with traditional African rhythms. Likewise, dance combines classical ballet movements with modern and contemporary dance and, as in music, jazz dance is marked by improvisation.

The dance style became famous for its presence in musicals and for figures such as the star Gene Kelly.

Tap dancing is a dance similar to jazz , but special shoes with metal plates on the sole are used to produce percussive sounds that accompany the dance.

5. Samba

Samba is a traditional rhythm and dance from Brazil, it had its influence on African dances. Samba has many styles, but, in general, its dance is characterized by fast movements of the feet. Samba can be danced solo, in couples or even in groups of thousands of people, as in samba schools that have more than 5,000 members, containing choreographed and free-dancing wings that tell a story to the public.

6. Street dancing

Street dance has its origins in the United States, from artists who were fired from concert halls and began to perform on the street.

However, from the 1980s onwards, street dance established a strong connection with hip-hop culture. Contemporary dance moves come together with steps inspired by everyday life and even martial arts.

7. Ballroom dancing

Ballroom dancing admits a series of rhythms such as tango, bolero, samba, salsa, pasodoble , among others. In it, the dancing couples fulfill a routine of choreographed steps of each of the rhythms.

Ballroom dancing can be performed as a hobby or competitively.
